1st PLACE Day 1, BassMaster Opens -Wheeler Lake, USA

TOMMY WOOD

Sunshine Coast local Tommy Wood is competing in his first American Bass Master Open season. Following in the foot steps of his Aussie legend Bass Master Elite, Carl Jocumsen. Tommy headed over to Knoxville Tennessee with a group of Australian and the #ABT, Steve Morgan team, to watch his mate Carl Jocumsen compete in Bass Master Elite.  Tommy stayed in the states and will give the next 3 months his best.

At 24 years of age Tommy has embarked on the trip of his lifetime. He has competed in Toledo Bend, Buggs Island and is currently at Wheeler Lake where he wants to become apart of the Bass Master elite anglers. As a non-boater ,he is currently sitting 1st Place with 10lb 1 oz, after the first day of fishing at Wheeler Lake. This is an awesome result for the boy from down under. As a non-boater he has  a bag limit of 3 Bass with placings determined by weight. The competition is over two days, so there will be a lot of Aussie’s that will be watching the event LIVE early tomorrow morning hoping he can keep his placing, to keep his dream alive.
