A boat on a river mooring runs its electrics unattended — bilge pump, battery, maybe a solar panel keeping it alive. When that chain fails, the first warning is a boat sitting low. We service mooring boats at the jetty or on the water: charging systems checked, pumps tested under load and wiring brought up to marine standard before it lets you down.
River sounding is shallow, snaggy and tide-run — different work from offshore. We fit and tune transducers to read clean in a couple of metres of moving water, so the screen shows fish and structure instead of mud clutter. Set up by blokes who fish the same river.
Yes — moorings and private jetties from Bli Bli up to Dunethin Rock. We come by boat where road access doesn’t work.
Yes — and it’s worth doing before storm season. We test the pump under load, check the charging and flag anything marginal before it fails.
