Description
The LVS42HD is the close-range specialist in Garmin’s LiveScope™ 2 range. It runs 850 kHz to 1,600 kHz, which buys you the finest detail and the tightest target separation Garmin has put in a live-scanning transducer. You can watch individual fish peel off a school and see exactly where your lure is sitting among them.
The big change with LiveScope™ 2 is what is missing. There is no GLS 10 black box to find room for behind the dash, because the sonar module is built into the transducer head. One transducer, one cable, far less rigging.
Because it is tuned for detail rather than distance, the LVS42HD reaches 38 m (125 ft) down and forward. If you fish deeper water or want to track a lure further out, look at the LVS44 instead.
At Sunshine Coast Marine Electrical Doctor we supply and install full Garmin systems out of Coolum Beach. We will match the transducer to your display, mount it properly and set it up on the water, so the picture you get is the picture Garmin intended.
