The GFAB Gen 2 HD is the pole we now build our LiveScope bundles around. Australian made, 40mm powder coated aluminium, with an acetal collar running on a self-lubricating anti-friction ring so the turn stays smooth under load instead of grinding after a season in the salt.
It drops your live sonar transducer over the gunnel and lets you spin it by hand from the deck, which is the whole point of forward-looking sonar. A fixed through-hull mount cannot aim.
This pole suits D-size to E-size RAM mounts, which are sold separately. Mounting to the gunwale takes a RAM-D-101U. Mounting to a rail takes a RAM-D-235U rail mount, a RAM-D-201U-C short arm and a RAM-D-202U ball.
