Tommy Wood returns to the USA

Tommy is back in the USA to compete in his final tournaments in Division 1 & @ of the Opens. Firstly: Division 1, Upper Chesapeake Bay, North East MD on July 23-25/2025 . Not the day Tommy had hopped for, finishing 93rd position with 22lb 14oz along with boat and car troubles.

As tommy navigates the highs and the lows of his dream to compete in the Bassmaster Elites one of the highs has to be the opportunity to chat with Dave Mercer about his journey.

Mercer states, Tommy Wood is the only Australian to ever win a Bassmaster Open but his goals and dreams are a lot bigger than that. Tommy wants to become the second Aussie on the Bassmaster Elite Series and he is willing to chase his dreams to the other side of the world and live in a van to achieve them. Fueled by passion and his addiction to angling, no matter where Tommy is it’s clear he is Frothing to Fish! If you would like to listen to the interview on YouTube, use the link below
